Seeing the people arrive for the November Ceremonial at the Cape Codder in Hyannis was awesome. Attendance was great! Not only did we have a great turnout for the Ceremonial, but many Shriners and their Ladies chose to book rooms and stay for the weekend. Illustrious Rob Johnson gave everyone a place to relax both evenings in the Aleppo Hospitality Suite staffed by a host of Aides and Appointed Officers. A large crowd of Shriners were on hand to witness eleven Brothers become Nobles. We even had some Shriners from New Jersey who traveled North to see how Aleppo runs our Ceremonials. While the new Nobles were receiving their obligations, Lady Cathy hosted a program encouraging the Ladies to bring out their creativity to make wonderful greeting cards.
Noble Bobby Gold (head Chef at the Cape Codder) served a great lunch that was enjoyed by all. Immediately after lunch, Shrine Hospital Patient Ambassador – Annamaria Poullas was on hand to say a few words to all present. Next step….. All the Aleppo Heavy-Hitters headed to the “No Cash” Casino. Each guest was given $50,000.00 (Rob Bucks) to gamble against the house in an effort to win raffle tickets for fabulous prizes. As you might expect, the day ended in the Hospitality Suite discussing the Casino’s big winners, the Ladies greeting cards, and Aleppo’s next events. Thanks to all who participated. You helped make a memorable day and an enjoyable weekend for eleven new Nobles and their Ladies.
