Provost Guard
Organized 1957
The Provost Guard was instituted in 1957 for the purpose of assisting the Potentate to assure the safety and welfare of Aleppo’s Nobility. We perform police duties at Ceremonials, parades, conventions and other Shrine functions. Meetings are held monthly to discuss the coverage of these events and assignments.
The Provost Guard meets at 6 P.M. in the security room every 1st Wed. of the month preceding the regular Heads of Units meeting. Nobles are invited to attend and learn its Temple activity and Shrine responsibilities. New members welcome!
We also have numerous social events with our ladies. Many of the members are retired law enforcement officers and some are still on active duty. Our unit works to provide money for Shriners Hospitals.
