A donation of “Trouble the Dog” plush toys was presented to the Wilmington Police and Fire Departments from Dr. Gary Freedman, owner of Marblehead Opticians and Sheila Duncan, founder of the Kennek Foundation.
The Kennek Foundation provides the plush toys to police and fire departments as a valuable source of comfort to children facing crisis situations. There is an annual Trouble the Dog Motorcycle Ride that takes place at the Aleppo Shriners Auditorium each year. This past year it was a virtual ride. Dr. Freedman is a huge sponsor of the foundation and the motorcycle ride which donates many plush toys around the area.
The donation was made in honor of Illustrious Gary Bartlett, Potentate of Aleppo Shriners and a retired Marblehead firefighter. Members of the Aleppo Fire Brigade surprised Ill. Gary and showed up to also show their support.
