The Charles River Valley Shrine Club (CRVSC) held their 1st Annual Wig & Stache Bash at the Marlboro Masonic Hall on Sunday, October 7th. This event was this year’s Potentate’s Reception. The room
was alive with music, colorful wigs and plenty of mustaches. The feast was provided by Stevie’s Eatery Catering who served up some delicious pasta with chicken with the usual side dishes, and a wonderful variety of cakes for dessert.
For the past several years, the CRVSC had held an Oktoberfest event with a bevy of Bavarian Beauties. While the Bavarian Beauties were not on hand this year to share the love and plant some lipstick kisses on the guests, there were plenty of beautiful wigs and mustaches on display by most of the attending guests. CRVSC President Ken Brown and his Lady Jody were the perfect hosts. Chief Rabban Rob Havener represented the Aleppo Divan along with his Lady Linda, both of whom sported very distinguished “staches.” Noble Ken presented the Potentate with a gift from the club, as well as a cache of can tabs for the Aleppo Shriners Children’s Transportation Fund. Also, a generous donation of $1000 was given by the club to support the causes of the Aleppo Shrine. Great times, great people. That’s the way it is at the Charles River Valley Shrine Club.
