We Have Now Set Sail!
Nobles and Ladies,
The past four months have come and gone quickly, and boy have we been busy. Congratulations to Steve Eriksen for another successful Aleppo Smoker, with over 750 tickets sold, and bringing in $100,000 for the Aleppo Shriners Children’s Transportation Fund. It gets bigger and better every year. This enables us to help transport so many children and their families to our Hospitals.
In February, Lady Jo and I, along with Dave and Laura Veo, attended the Stewards Christmas Party hosted by John Maihos at Berry Tavern in Danvers, MA. The food was delicious and the company even better.
In March, I attended the Shriners Children’s–Boston Board of Governors meeting which was very informative and enlightening. Shriners Children’s truly provides care and makes a difference in changing childrens lives. Also in March we attended the Oriental Shrine Potentate’s Ball in Saratoga Springs, NY. We had a great time with our traveling companions, Dave and Laura Veo.
April was chock full of wonderful things going on at Aleppo with the 0.5K Classic Race, Dueling Pianos, and the Ladies Garden Party. All were well attended. Thank you Steve Eriksen, Richie Rebidue, and Janis Critch.
Lady Jo and I, along with Cliff and Janice Critch, and Roger and Bobbie Gardiner were off to the Melha Shriners Potentate’s Reception in Holyoke, MA. It was a weekend filled with fellowship and happiness.
April finished off with the 71st Aleppo Shrine Circus held the 19th through the 23rd. A gigantic thank you to the Circus Committee for all that you do and to all the Nobles, Ladies, and families who volunteer so much of their time to make sure there are smiles on all the families’ faces that come to our show.
In May we set sail to Bermuda!
The summer continues to be busy with many parades coming up; thank you Paul Watts for your hard work and dedication to lining them up.
June has some great events coming up. First is the Aleppo Angus Steak and Strawberry Festival Ceremonial on Saturday the 10th, and then the Aleppo Shriners Football All-Star Classic game on the 16th at Bentley College. Make sure you come and support the athletes and their families, and make sure you wear your Fez!
Then we are off to the 149th Imperial in Charlotte, North Carolina, from June 30th to July 6th.
Make sure to mark July 29th on your calendars! Lady Jo and I are hosting an Aleppo Family Day, a day to show our appreciation for all that you do to help the children at our Hospitals.
ES SALAAM ELEIKUM Fraternally,
Charlie A. Diminico
