The Aleppo Medical Corps instructors were on the road again to Joel H. Prouty lodge in Auburn Massachusetts for another training class for “Stop The Bleed.”
We had 14 participants who learned to save lives and prevent death from life threatening bleeding. In our class we go over the use of wound packing, direct pressure and torniquet use as well.
This class is taught for free and is open to anyone, including Masons and their families, non-masons and the general public as well. Non-medical by-standers can help save lives by providing immediate bleeding control principles and aid until first responders arrive. Stop the Bleed is a FREE class offered by Aleppo Medical Corps. This class is open to any individual or group.
EACH PARTICIPANT RECEIVES:
• Professional FREE hands-on training on blood loss techniques
• Lecture by expert in the field
• Information on how to obtain bleeding control kits.
The 2-hour long class is a combination of lectures and hands-on training on wound packing and tourniquet used to train, equip and empower the bystander in the critical first minutes after a trauma injury that causes bleeding.
