The Mini-Haulers have had a very busy parade season so far and now as we start to see the leaves change color and fall, we swing into high gear! As all of the fall festivals and holiday parades are starting up, our calendar is filling up too! Recently, we have participated in the Marlborough Labor Day Parade, Chester NH 300 th Anniversary Parade, Weymouth Irish Parade and Festival and the Roslindale Parade. At the end of the Roslindale Parade, we held an impromptu side of the road, behind a trailer, birthday party with cake and candles! Happy Birthday wishes to Nobles Bob Archibald and Dave Evans Brown! This spectacular event was attended by some of the finest of Aleppo and sets a new standard for the future! We have the Woburn Halloween Parade coming up soon and there are even more planned so stay tuned! Birthday celebrations will remain a surprise!
The Mini-Haulers would like to convey our condolences to Noble David Evans Brown on the passing of his wife Betty after a long courageous battle.
The excitement we see from those on the side of the street confirms the appreciation of the unit! The looks we see on kids’ faces, the high fives we receive and the constant flash of cameras is always there! Sometimes I really wonder who is having a better time, us or the spectators! Watch for us at your local parades! If you see us and have some pictures of us in action, please take a minute to upload them to our Facebook page, the “Aleppo Shriners Mini-Haulers”.
The Mini-Haulers continue to grow in popularity and interest in the group has been steadily increasing. If you want to try driving one, get in touch with any of the members and they can make arrangements for a test drive, but I have to warn you, they can be addictive! One drive and you’ll be hooked!
